The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, was ‘ambushed for blessings’ during his early morning prayer walk on Wednesday, December 6, Premium Times reports.

The cleric narrated how the incident unfolded, during his ministry’s third day of its Holy Ghost Congress on Wednesday night.

He stated: “If you see a man of over 75-years-old walking alone at night, you must know that he is doing that on a purpose; but the people won’t let me.

“I tried to veer along a path into the bush, and was relieved to be alone to pray, but they traced me there.”

However, the cleric disclosed that he was eventually left to be alone with God, whom he said assured him that every yoke would be broken during the programme that evening.

Pastor Adeboye did not reveal just how he was able to free himself from the ‘blessing-seeking’ church members.

Meanwhile, previously reported about a new video which surfaced online, showing Pastor Enoch Adeboye seeking for people to donate N1 billion to his church.

According to the video, Pastor Adeboye could be heard asking: “Who by the grace of God can give N1 billion?”

However, the short video clip did not show what he needed the money for.
