This information is for teachers all over Nigeria. The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria is the regulatory body for professional teachers in the country. They regulate and control every aspect of the teaching profession. Qualified teachers are expected to be licensed by the TRCN. This post provides useful information about the registration fees and dues for the teachers who want to obtain their license from Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria.
The TRCN from time to time registers and classifies members of the teaching profession based on their qualification and level of training. The registration fees and annual dues for teachers differ depending on the category a teacher falls into. There are four categories of TRNC registration.
Categories of registration and their fees
First category or Category A
This category is for teachers with Ph.D. in Education or Ph.D. in other field plus NCE, PDE, PGDE. The cost of registration is 10,000 Naira. The annual due is 5,000 Naira.
Second category or Category B
This category is for teachers with M.Ed./MSc in Education or Masters in other field plus NCE, PDE or PGDE. The cost of registration 8,000 Naira. The annual due is 4,000 Naira.
Third category or Category C
This category is for teachers with B.Sc. /B.Ed. in Education or a university degree in any other field plus NCE, PDE or PGDE. The cost of registration is 6,000 Naira. Annual due is 3,000 Naira.
Fourth Category or Category D
This is for NCE holders. The cost of registration is 3,000 Naira. The annual due is 2,000 Naira.
Letter of professional standing
Also, the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria gives a letter of professional standing to any of their registered members who need it. The cost of the letter of professional standing is 40,000 Naira.

Any of these fees can be paid at any of following banks:

On your deposit slip at the bank please indicate the following:
- Account Name: Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria.
- Depositor’s name.
- The purpose of the payment e.g. registration fee, annual license due, etc.
- Depositors phone number and e-mail address.
- Date of payment.
After payment, visit the TRNC registration office closest to you with your teller and you will be given a receipt which you will use to process your registration
Please take note that before you can make any payment at the bank, you have to generate RRR No. on the TRCN website. You will find “GENERATE RRR NO.” at the top right corner of the website. More information about the TRCN can be found on the TRCN website at www.trcn.gov.ng.
